Real people, real situations, just without a shoot day
An app spot needs people you believe in. Cast, location and a shoot day weren't in the budget, photoreal generative scenes were.
01 · Brief
What had to be solved
VociApp had to appear in a short spot as the answer to an everyday problem, not as a feature list. That needs people in situations you recognise, and they have to stay the same people across the whole spot.
02 · Approach
How I approached it
Scene plan first, prompting second: who, where, which problem, which resolution. Photorealism here isn't a stylistic preference but a condition, light, skin tones and movement have to manage without the usual AI sheen, or credibility tips over and takes conversion with it.
03 · Execution
What actually happened
- Scene plan and character definition before the first generation
- Consistent characters across every scene
- Photoreal lighting rather than a high-gloss look
- Cut around the hook, with a clear path to the CTA
- Sound design and voice balance for playback on a phone
04 · Why it matters
What counts about it
In performance marketing it isn't the one perfect spot that counts, it's being able to produce credible scenes in variants. No shoot day means a new hook is a matter of hours, not weeks.
